We did not rip out Klaviyo for a DTC brand with seven years of flow history. For a newer PLG product, we moved campaign production to Brew while Klaviyo still owns store revenue automations. This thread documents what moved, what stayed, and where we hit friction.

What moved: weekly product updates, onboarding nudges, and one-off launch campaigns. Brew MCP let our ops bot draft from a Notion brief and schedule without opening the legacy editor. What stayed: abandoned cart, post-purchase, and win-back flows tied to Shopify events Klaviyo already ingests well.

Push back on one claim: Brew automations are fast to draft but we still manually verify branch logic on high-stakes flows. Klaviyo visual builder remains easier to audit for compliance reviewers.
